China Winner Max Verstappen Leads the 2024 F1 World Championship Standings

Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen won the Formula 1 (F1) race at the Shanghai International Circuit, China, on Sunday, April 21, 2024.

Having won the sprint race, Verstappen started from the front of the grid. He completed the 56 laps in 1 hour, 40 minutes, and 52.554 seconds.

This victory marks Verstappen's first win in the Chinese Grand Prix and his fourth championship title in this F1 season.

Verstappen was followed by McLaren driver Lando Norris, who finished second, 13.773 seconds behind.

Another Red Bull Racing driver, Sergio Perez, came in third, 19.160 seconds behind.

As a result of the race in China, Verstappen's total points increased to 110, significantly ahead of other drivers.

Sergio Perez is second in the F1 2024 provisional standings with 85 points, followed by Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc with 76 points.

The next F1 2024 race series will be held at the Miami International Autodrome, United States, from May 3-5, 2024.
