Where Did Jokowi Win in the 2014 Presidential Election?

The Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla (Jokowi-JK) pair in the 2014 presidential election won with 80 million votes (53.15%) out of a total of 133.57 million valid votes. Meanwhile, the Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa (Prabowo-Hatta) pair received 62.58 million votes (46.85%).

Based on the General Elections Commission (KPU) recount of the 2014 Presidential Election, the Jokowi-JK pair won in 23 provinces plus overseas votes, with a total margin of 16.75 million votes. The Prabowo-Hatta pair only won in 10 provinces, with a total margin of 8.33 million votes. In total, the difference in votes between Jokowi and Prabowo reached 8.42 million votes.

Jokowi's largest lead was in Central Java, with a margin of 6.47 million votes, followed by South Sulawesi with 1.8 million votes and East Java with 1.39 million votes. Prabowo's largest lead was in West Java with a margin of 4.64 million votes, followed by West Sumatra (Sumbar) with 1.23 million votes and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) with 1.14 million votes. Based on this data, Central Java will be the focus of the Prabowo-Sandiaga campaign team, while West Java will be the focus of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin campaign team in the 2019 presidential election.
