According to the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI), public satisfaction with the 2024 General Election has decreased.

This is evident from two surveys conducted by LSI in February 2024. First, a post-election survey or exit poll on February 14, 2024. Second, a national survey conducted from February 19-21, 2024.

In the exit poll results (February 14, 2024), the proportion of respondents satisfied with the 2024 election reached 94.5% (consisting of 42.4% very satisfied and 52.1% quite satisfied).

However, in the national survey results (February 19-21, 2024), the proportion of satisfied respondents dropped to 83.6% (consisting of 22.5% very satisfied and 61.1% quite satisfied).

According to LSI Executive Director Djayadi Hanan, public satisfaction decreased due to the circulation of much negative news after election day.

Some examples of this negative news include problems with the General Election Commission's Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap KPU), revotes in several regions, and so on.

The LSI national survey involved 1,211 respondents aged 17 and above, assumed to represent 83% of the total national population.

Sample selection used a validated random digit dialing (RDD) technique. Selected respondents were then interviewed by telephone.

The survey's margin of error is approximately 2.6% at a 95% confidence level, assuming random sampling.
