Is the Public Satisfied with the Recent Cabinet Reshuffle? Here's the Survey!

A Kompas Research and Development poll shows that 36% of respondents expressed satisfaction with President Prabowo's cabinet reshuffle. Conversely, 28.5% of respondents stated dissatisfaction with the new ministers, while 35.5% were undecided or did not answer.

"Despite this divided opinion, the reshuffle is viewed by the public with the hope of improved government performance, ultimately leading to increased public welfare," wrote a Kompas Research and Development researcher in their report on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

The survey also revealed that 49.8% of respondents believed the reshuffle was motivated by ministerial performance considerations. Meanwhile, 39.6% viewed the cabinet reshuffle as politically motivated.

Nevertheless, a majority (64.9%) of respondents are confident that government performance will improve following President Prabowo's reshuffle.

The survey involved 528 respondents from 72 cities across 38 provinces, selected randomly according to population proportions in each province. Data collection was conducted from September 8-12, 2025, through telephone interviews. The survey's margin of error is approximately 4.22% with a 95% confidence level, under conditions of simple random sampling.
