79% of Indonesian Citizens Satisfied with Prabowo's Performance: Here's Why

According to a survey by Indikator Politik, a majority or 79.3% of Indonesian respondents were satisfied with President Prabowo Subianto's performance in his first 100 days in office.

This figure comprises 13.5% of respondents who were very satisfied and 65.8% who were fairly satisfied. On the other hand, 16.9% were dissatisfied or very dissatisfied, while 3.8% did not answer or did not know.

The survey also found that 18.9% of respondents were satisfied because they felt Prabowo was firm, authoritative, courageous, and wise.

Furthermore, 17.4% were satisfied because they felt that corruption eradication was progressing well.

"This means that the performance of law enforcement institutions, especially those related to corruption eradication, also contributes to satisfaction with the President's performance," said Burhanuddin, a researcher at Indikator Politik Indonesia, in an online presentation of the survey on Monday (January 27, 2025).

Other respondents were satisfied because of Prabowo's good/proven performance (12.8%), the implementation of many work programs (9.2%), frequent provision of assistance (5.9%), and the free nutritious food program (5.7%).

The survey involved 1,220 respondents spread across Indonesia, selected using a multistage random sampling method.

Data collection was conducted from January 16-21, 2025, through face-to-face interviews with trained interviewers. The survey's margin of error is approximately 2.9% at a 95% confidence level.
