The Indonesian Political Indicator survey institute has released its electoral map survey for the 2024 Central Java Regional Head Elections (Pilkada).

The results show that the electability of candidate pair number 2, Ahmad Luthfi-Taj Yasin Maimoen, is leading with 47.19%.

Candidate pair number 1, Andika Perkasa-Hendrar Prihadi (Hendi), follows with 43.46%.

However, 9.35% are undecided voters or respondents who have not yet decided on their choice.

Indikator Politik Executive Director Burhanuddin Muhtadi explained that the electability gap between the two candidate pairs is only 3% within the margin of error. He stated that changes are still possible in the next two weeks.

"We don't have a conclusive conclusion to say Luthfi is leading. Although Luthfi and Gus Yasin are slightly ahead of Andika in absolute terms, statistically they are tied," said Burhanuddin in his online survey presentation on Sunday (17/11/2024).

In addition, the Indikator survey found that 68.3% of respondents stated that it is unlikely or almost impossible for them to change their support.

Meanwhile, 29.5% of respondents said there is a high possibility of changing their choice.

This survey involved 3,500 respondents in Central Java aged 17 years and older or who are married, selected using multistage random sampling. A sample of 100 respondents was taken from each district/city in the province.

Data collection was conducted from November 7-13, 2024, through face-to-face interviews. The survey's margin of error is approximately 2.3% at a 95% confidence level.
