KIC Survey: Khofifah-Emil Achieve Highest Electability in East Java

The gubernatorial candidate pair Khofifah Indar Parawansa-Emil Dardak achieved the highest electability in a simulation of the 2024 East Java Regional Head Election.

This is recorded in the Katadata Telco Survey report, a collaborative survey by the Katadata Insight Center (KIC) and tSurvey.

In September 2024, Khofifah Indar Parawansa-Emil Dardak's electability reached 52.7%, exceeding the minimum requirement of 50% of the vote to win the regional election.

Below them, Tri Rismaharini-Zahrul Azhar Asumta was chosen by 14.5% of respondents.

Then the pair Luluk Nur Hamidah-Lukmanul Khakim achieved the lowest electability, at only 3.1%.

Furthermore, 29.7% of respondents had not yet decided on their support.

This survey involved 800 respondents residing in East Java, with the criteria of having voting rights and using a Telkomsel mobile phone number. The sample was taken from the tSurvey population based on Telkomsel's *telco data insight*.

Data collection was conducted from September 4-9, 2024, via telephone using the *random digit dialing* (RDD) method. The survey's margin of error is 3.5% at a 95% confidence level.

This survey also details respondents based on their characteristics, such as which candidate was chosen by religious respondents, environmentally conscious respondents, and so on.
