This is an Urgent Issue That Must Be Resolved by Leaders in the Next 5 Years

Controlling the prices of basic necessities is the most urgent issue that national leaders must address in the next five years. This is based on the findings of the latest Indikator national survey conducted from October 30 to November 5, 2022.

In the survey, respondents were asked, "In your opinion, what is the most urgent issue that national leaders must address in the next five years?"

40.3% of respondents answered that controlling the prices of basic necessities is the most urgent issue that national leaders must address in the next five years. This means that almost half of the respondents consider controlling the prices of basic necessities to be the most urgent problem for national leaders to solve.

Employment or reducing unemployment is the next priority issue that the government needs to address. This was stated by 16.3% of respondents. This is followed by poverty reduction (9.8%), corruption eradication (9.3%), and security/order (3.3%).

Many other urgent issues that national leaders must address in the next five years include income equality, advancing the agricultural sector, boosting MSMEs, and improving the quality of education, each with less than 3% of responses.

The Indikator national survey involved 1,200 respondents spread across 34 provinces. Sample collection used a simple random sampling method with a margin of error of +/- 2.9% at a 95% confidence level.
