In this reshuffle, Jokowi appointed Budi Arie Setiadi as the Minister of Communication and Informatics, replacing Johnny G Plate, who is now a suspect in a corruption case involving the procurement of 4G Base Transceiver Stations (BTS).
Furthermore, Jokowi also appointed five deputy ministers. Nezar Patria was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Communication and Informatics, alongside Budi Arie.
Paiman Raharjo replaced Budi Arie as the Deputy Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration, and Pahala Mansury, previously the Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

On the same occasion, Jokowi also appointed two members to the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres): Djan Faridz and Gandi Sulistiyanto.
The frequency of reshuffles during Jokowi's presidency is relatively low compared to his predecessors.
