A Civil Society Coalition has raised concerns about irregularities in the vote count for the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) in the 2024 DPR Legislative Election.
The coalition, comprising over 40 civil organizations, claims PSI gained approximately 400,000 votes in the last week.
"By Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, at 1 PM, PSI's total votes reached 3.13%, nearing the parliamentary threshold of 4%," stated the Civil Society Coalition in a press release on Sunday, March 3rd, 2024.
"However, based on the coalition's monitoring of the real count from 530,776 polling stations as of Monday, February 26th, 2024, PSI only received 2,001,493 votes, or 2.68%," they added.
Conversely, Grace Natalie, Chair of the PSI Supervisory Board, stated that the increase in votes is normal.
"An increase during the tabulation process is normal. What is not normal is if certain parties try to manipulate public opinion by questioning this," said Grace Natalie.
Responding to this issue, KPU member Idham Holi stated that the official 2024 election results will not come from real count website data, but from the hierarchical recapitulation from district, regency/city, provincial, to national levels.
"Hierarchical recapitulation is still ongoing. Let the hierarchical recapitulation speak for the figures," said Idham, as reported by Katadata on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024.
According to the KPU's provisional real count, as of Monday, March 4th, 2024, at 8 AM WIB, PSI obtained 3.13% or 2,404,203 votes.
This vote count has not yet reached the parliamentary threshold. According to Article 414 of Law Number 7 of 2017, political parties can only obtain DPR seats if they receive a minimum of 4% of the total national valid votes.
As of Monday, March 4th, 2024, at 8 AM WIB, only nine political parties have met this threshold:

* PKB: 11.54%
* NasDem: 9.42%
* PKS: 7.5%
* Democrat: 7.41%
* PAN: 6.95%

The following parties have not yet met the parliamentary threshold as of Monday, March 4th, 2024, at 8 AM WIB:

* Partai Buruh: 0.59%

These figures are not final. The votes counted are only from 542,025 polling stations (TPS), or 65.84% of the total 823,236 TPS nationwide.
The KPU will conduct vote recapitulation at the latest by March 20th, 2024.
