The General Election Commission (KPU) declared the presidential and vice-presidential candidate pair Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka the winner in Banten Province.
This is based on the results of the national presidential election (Pilpres) vote count recapitulation conducted by the KPU for Banten Province on Tuesday (12/3/2024).
Prabowo-Gibran received 4,035,052 votes in Banten. Their closest competitor, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, received 2,451,383 votes.
The pair Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD placed last with only 720,275 votes.
"Thus, the recapitulation of the Presidential and Vice-Presidential election results for Banten Province is ratified," said KPU RI member August Mellaz during the KPU plenary meeting in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Tuesday (12/3/2024).
The KPU recorded that the number of citizens included in the permanent voter list (DPT) in Banten reached 8,842,646 people. However, only 7,267,751 exercised their right to vote.
There were also additional voters listed in the additional voter list (DPTb) in Banten, totaling 65,097 people, and citizens included in the special voter list (DPK) numbering 89,659 people.
Thus, the total number of voters who exercised their right to vote in Banten reached 7,422,507 people.
Of that number, 7,206,710 votes were declared valid, while 215,797 were declared invalid.
Based on the national recapitulation results from Saturday (9/3/2024) to Tuesday (12/3/2024) at 16:30 WIB, the KPU has ratified the presidential election vote count in 14 provinces.
These provinces include Yogyakarta Special Region, Gorontalo, Central Kalimantan, Bali, Lampung, Bangka Belitung, West Kalimantan, South Sumatra, Central Java, DKI Jakarta, Riau Islands, East Nusa Tenggara, North Kalimantan, and South Kalimantan.
The Prabowo-Gibran pair received 32,944,163 votes in these 14 provinces. Ganjar-Mahfud received 14,378,488 votes, and Anies-Muhaimin received 10,758,123 votes.
According to KPU Regulation Number 3 of 2022, the national vote recapitulation for the 2024 General Election is scheduled to take place from February 15 to March 20, 2024.
