What were the vote counts for each political party in the 2014 Legislative Election?

The 2019 presidential and legislative elections are still a year away. However, political lobbying to determine the presidential and vice-presidential candidates for the 2019-2024 period is already quite intense, approaching the registration period for presidential and vice-presidential candidate pairs on July 4-10, 2018.

Political parties are beginning to calculate their strength to nominate their cadres as presidential and vice-presidential candidates for the upcoming period or simply to support certain candidate pairs. For information, in the 2014 legislative election, the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) led with 18.95% of the vote. Golkar came in second with 14.75% of the vote, and Gerindra was third with 11.81% of the vote. Meanwhile, the Crescent Star Party (PBB) and the Indonesian Justice and Unity Party (PKPI) only received 1.46% and 0.91% of the vote respectively, failing to secure parliamentary seats due to falling below the 3.5% vote threshold.

The People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) has 692 seats, comprising 560 seats in the House of Representatives (DPR) and 132 seats in the Regional Representative Council (DPD). In the 2014 legislative election, the three parties that obtained the most seats were PDI-P with 109 seats, Golkar with 91 seats, and Gerindra with 73 seats.
