Most People Are Satisfied with President Jokowi's Performance

A majority of the public is satisfied with the performance of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). This is a finding from a national survey conducted by Indikator from August 11-17, 2022.

The survey, titled "Public Perception of the Sambo Case: Between Law Enforcement and Public Expectations," revealed that 65% of respondents were satisfied with President Jokowi's performance. This breaks down to 51% who were fairly satisfied and 14% who were very satisfied.

Meanwhile, 33.2% of respondents were dissatisfied with President Jokowi's performance. This includes 27% who were somewhat dissatisfied and 8.2% who were completely dissatisfied.

By gender, 62.4% of male respondents (base 50.6%) expressed satisfaction with President Jokowi's performance, while 35.5% expressed dissatisfaction.

By religion, the majority of respondents from all religious backgrounds expressed satisfaction with President Jokowi's performance. Similarly, the majority of respondents with education levels ranging from elementary school to university expressed satisfaction with Jokowi's performance.

By ethnicity, respondents of Javanese, Batak, Madurese, Betawi, Malay, and other ethnicities mostly expressed satisfaction with President Jokowi's performance, with percentages exceeding 50%. Conversely, respondents of Sundanese, Minangkabau, and Bugis ethnicity expressed dissatisfaction with President Jokowi's performance.

The Indikator survey involved 1,229 respondents spread across 34 provinces and was conducted from August 11-17, 2022. A random digit dialing (RDD) method was used for sample selection. The margin of error is estimated at approximately 2.9% with a 95% confidence level.
