Poltracking Poll: Ganjar Pranowo Strongest Presidential Candidate in the 2024 Election

Ganjar Pranowo emerges as the strongest presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election (Pilpres), according to the national survey "Projection of Strong Candidates for the 2024 Presidential Election" conducted by Poltracking Indonesia.

Based on a simulation of 10 names, the Governor of Central Java received the most votes from respondents as their preferred presidential candidate if the election were held at the time of the survey. Ganjar Pranowo's electability as a presidential candidate reached 26.9% of respondent votes.

Meanwhile, Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto achieved an electability of 22.5% of respondent votes, followed by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, with 16.8% electability.

These three presidential candidates consistently achieved the highest electability in both the 18-name and 15-name simulations.

The following presidential candidates received the following electability percentages: Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) at 3.6%, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil at 3.4%, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir at 2.6%, and Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno at 2.2%.

East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Paransa achieved 2% electability, Minister of Trade Airlangga Hartarto 1.8%, and Puan Maharani 1.2%.

Respondents who refused to answer/answered confidentially accounted for 6.7%, while those who did not answer (TJ) and did not know (TT) totaled 10.38% of respondents.

The Poltracking survey was conducted from May 16-22, 2022, involving 1,220 respondents spread across 34 provinces. Sample collection used a multistage random sampling (MRS) technique with a margin of error of 2.9% and a confidence level of 95%.
