Indonesia Not Included in List, These Are the World's Least Corrupt Countries in 2022

Denmark was again named the least corrupt country in 2022. According to a Transparency International report, the country's Corruption Perception Index (CPI) score was 90 out of 100 last year.

The report states that Denmark has held the title of the world's least corrupt country consecutively since 2012.

Finland and New Zealand came in second place, each with a CPI score of 87. Norway followed with a CPI score of 84.

Singapore was the only Asian country to make the top 10 list of the world's least corrupt countries. Singapore's CPI in 2022 was 83, the same as Sweden's.

On the other hand, Somalia was recorded as the most corrupt country in the world last year. Somalia's CPI was only 12 points.

Indonesia ranked 110th globally, according to Transparency International. Indonesia's CPI was 34 points in 2022, down 4 points from the previous year.

The global average CPI in 2022 was 43. This value has remained unchanged for 11 consecutive years. Two-thirds of countries still have scores below 50, indicating that these countries have serious corruption problems.

Transparency International involved 180 countries in its CPI survey. A score of 0 means the country is highly corrupt, while a score of 100 indicates the country is free from corruption.
