Ministry of ATR/BPN Employee Allowances Increased in 2024: Here's the List

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has increased the performance allowance (tukin) for employees of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning (ATR)/National Land Agency (BPN).

This policy is based on Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 6 of 2024 concerning Performance Allowances for Employees within the Ministry of ATR/BPN. This regulation has been in effect since its ratification on January 23, 2024.

"Based on the achievements of the bureaucratic reform implementation, the Ministry of ATR/BPN has met the criteria for an adjustment of performance allowances," states the Presidential Regulation.

The performance allowance is differentiated based on job class. There are at least 17 job classes within the Ministry of ATR/BPN.

The lowest performance allowance is for job class 1, amounting to Rp2.53 million per month, up from the previous Rp1.97 million per month.

The highest is for job class 17, amounting to Rp33.24 million per month, up from the previous Rp29.09 million per month.

Specifically for the Minister of ATR/BPN, currently held by Hadi Tjahjanto, the performance allowance provided is 150% of the highest allowance. Therefore, Hadi receives a performance allowance of Rp49.86 million per month.

This performance allowance is not given to Ministry of ATR/BPN employees who do not hold a specific position, are temporarily dismissed, or have been dismissed from their organic position.

The performance allowance is also not given to employees who are on leave without government support, or are in a period of leave of absence for retirement preparation.

With this change, the old regulation, Perpres 9/2020 concerning Performance Allowances for Employees within the Ministry of ATR/BPN, is no longer valid.
