The world's largest gold mine is Nevada Gold Mines, located in the United States. In 2021, this mine produced 3.31 million ounces of gold.

The Muruntau gold mine in Uzbekistan ranks second as the largest gold mine, producing 2.99 million ounces last year. Third place is held by a gold mine located in Indonesia.
