The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS) has announced the nominees for the 75th Emmy Awards 2023.
This prestigious awards ceremony for American television productions will be held on September 18, 2023.
According to Statista, *Succession* is the series with the most nominations at the 2023 Emmy Awards, with a total of 27 nominations.
These nominations include Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actress, and three nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor.
This HBO production tells the story of the Roy family, the wealthy owners of the Waystar RoyCo media conglomerate. When the father falls ill, his four children compete to seize control of the company.
*The Last of Us* comes in second with 24 Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, and Outstanding Lead Actor and Actress nominations for Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey.
Also an HBO production, *The Last of Us* generated significant buzz upon its release due to its depiction of Depok, Indonesia, as the epicenter of a zombie outbreak in the first episode.
Two Indonesian actors participated in the series, attracting considerable viewer attention.
They are Christine Hakim, who plays a mycology professor from the University of Indonesia, and Yayu Unru, who portrays a three-star Indonesian General investigating the origins of the Cordyceps virus.
