Access Partnership research shows that a number of supports are needed to help Roblox game creators in Indonesia.
Access to various game development tools and talent development were considered the two most helpful things for creators, each stated by 42% of respondents.
Below is a list of the support needed by Roblox game creator respondents in Indonesia:
1. Access to assets, open-source tools, or creative libraries for rapid prototyping: 42%
2. Talent development initiatives: 42%
3. Market access support: 41%
4. Mentorship/consultation programs from experienced creators: 34%
5. Tools/programs to support the development of safe, inclusive, and responsible games and online experiences: 33%
6. Access to infrastructure/hardware for hosting and publishing games and online experiences: 31%
7. Access to game and online experience development tools/software: 29%
8. Simplification of licensing processes, intellectual property protection, or content moderation: 28%
9. Tax or financial incentives for local developers or studios: 19%
"With sectoral support, the Indonesian government must continue to address existing gaps by investing in digital infrastructure, skills training, and digital transformation," wrote Access Partnership in its report *Behind the Scenes: The Economic Impact of Roblox in Indonesia*.
As a note, this survey used a multiple-answer format, where respondents could choose their top three answers.
Access Partnership surveyed 202 Roblox content creators spread across Indonesia. Respondents included content creators who were both eligible and ineligible for the Roblox Developer Exchange Program.
Based on age groups, the majority or 75% of respondents were aged 18-34 years. Then 23% were aged 35-49 years, and 1% were aged 50-64 years.
Data collection was conducted during August-September 2025. This survey has a margin of error of approximately 10% with a 95% confidence level.
