AI glasses are wearable devices in the form of glasses equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) technology to help users perform various functions, such as taking pictures or videos and providing information via an internet connection.

According to a report by market research firm Omdia, the global shipment volume of AI glasses reached 8.7 million units in 2025. The volume surged by 322% year-on-year (yoy).

"This was driven by a surge in interest in this emerging category of AI devices," Omdia wrote in its report on Thursday (March 5, 2026).

In 2025, Meta dominated the share of AI glasses shipments with 85.2%. Omdia explained that its shipment figures soared by 281.3% (yoy) thanks to its second-generation Oakley and Ray-Ban AI glasses.

"This growth was also supported by Meta's expansion into new markets, including India, Mexico, Brazil, and a number of other countries," Omdia wrote.

The next positions were occupied by Rokid with 3.9% and Xiaomi with 3.5%. While AI glasses from other brands accounted for 7.4%.
