"Shogun" Leads Emmy Award Nominations for 2024

The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS) has announced the nominees for the 76th Annual Emmy Awards in 2024. This award recognizes the best television programs in the United States broadcast between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024.

The Emmy Award winners will be announced on September 15, 2024, at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. The ceremony will also be broadcast live on ABC and Hulu.

According to Statista, *Shogun* received the most nominations for the 2024 Emmy Awards, with a total of 25 nominations. These nominations include Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor and Actress, and Outstanding Supporting Actor. *Shogun* is also the second non-English language series to be nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, following *Squid Game* in 2022.

In second place is *The Bear*, which received 23 nominations at the 2024 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Directing. *The Bear* also set a record for the most nominations for a comedy series in history, surpassing the previous record held by *30 Rock* with 22 comedy series nominations in 2009.

Looking at the streaming services, Netflix leads with the most nominations, totaling 107. Besides *The Crown*, *Ripley* received 13 nominations and *Baby Reindeer* received 11.

This is followed by FX with 93 nominations and HBO with 91 nominations.
