3-Month Nickel Commodity Futures Prices Rise for Three Consecutive Days

The 3-month nickel commodity futures price for Friday, February 20, 2026 trading rose. Today's 3-month nickel commodity futures trading price was recorded at US$17,350 per ton. This figure is higher than the previous day's trading figure of US$17,150 per ton. The current condition is similar to the trend of 3-month nickel commodity futures prices over the last three days, which have been on a downward trend.

Over the past week, the 3-month nickel commodity futures price movement fell by -3.29% with an average daily trading price of US$17,160 per ton. According to calculations by the Katadata Insight Center (KIC), year-to-date (ytd), the nickel commodity price has risen by 2.57%. Meanwhile, so far this year, the highest trading value for the nickel commodity was transacted at US$18,975 per ton, which occurred on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

Annually, the average 3-month nickel commodity futures trading price over the past five years has been on a downward trend. Meanwhile, for monthly price monitoring, transactions over the last 12 months tend to rise. The highest average monthly nickel commodity price was recorded in January 2026 at US$18,030 per ton.

The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment Affairs recorded that in the first half of 2023, the year-on-year value of nickel and its derivative exports reached US$19.47 billion, equivalent to Rp301 trillion. In 2022, the export value of this commodity reached US$34.28 billion or Rp530.1 trillion. Indonesia's government downstreaming program is predicted to increase exports of nickel and its derivatives by up to 20 times by 2025.
