Telemedicine service usage saw a significant increase during the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, even after the pandemic subsided, many Indonesians continue to utilize these online health consultation services.

According to the latest survey report by the Katadata Insight Center (KIC), a majority or 42.9% of respondents who had used telemedicine planned to continue using the service even after the return to normal activities.

A further 22.6% of respondents even planned to use the service more frequently.

However, 28.1% of respondents planned to reduce their use of telemedicine, and 6.4% would not use it again.

The proportion of respondents who would reduce their use of telemedicine was highest among new users, at 31.2%.

This online survey was conducted from February 28 to March 7, 2022. A total of 2,108 respondents participated, spread across 34 Indonesian provinces. The criteria included telemedicine users aged over 16 years.

"No margin of error can be associated with a non-probability sample, in this case, online and telesurveys. However, for comparison purposes, a probability sample of 2,108 respondents would have a margin of error of approximately 2.13%," wrote KIC in its report.
