According to a report by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the disbursement of online loans or peer-to-peer (P2P) lending fintech reached Rp17.91 trillion in April 2022, coinciding with Ramadan and preparations for Eid al-Fitr 2022.

The value of online loan disbursement in that month dropped by approximately 22.36% (month-on-month/mom) compared to March 2022, which amounted to Rp23.07 trillion.

However, year-on-year (year-on-year/yoy), the disbursement of P2P lending fintech loans in April 2022 increased by approximately 47% compared to April 2021, which totaled Rp12.18 trillion.

From the lender's side, the number reached 10.60 million entities with a value of Rp17.77 trillion. The collaboration in loan disbursement by institutional lenders (super lenders) during this period was contributed by 266 conventional financial institutions, amounting to Rp2.80 trillion.

The trend shows an increase in online loan disbursement over the past year. The highest loan disbursement was recorded in March 2022, and the lowest in April 2021.
