Earthquake Today, March 23, 2024, Strikes Tuban

A recent earthquake measuring 4.6 magnitude struck Tuban on March 23, 2024. According to the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the earthquake's epicenter was located in the sea approximately 106 kilometers northeast of Tuban.

"Earthquake felt Magnitude: 4.6 on March 23, 2024 at 12:57:36," BMKG wrote in its release. The earthquake occurred at coordinates 5.98 LS (South Latitude) and 112.31 BT (East Longitude).

The earthquake was felt on the MMI scale in several areas, including Bawean, with a scale of II-III. One of the MMI scales felt was III, meaning the earthquake was felt by several people but did not cause damage or accidents. Light hanging objects swayed and glass windows vibrated.
