Indonesia's Gen Z has specific criteria for the leaders they seek, as revealed in IDN Research Institute's *Indonesia Gen Z Report 2022*.

A majority, or 80%, of respondents consider vision and mission to be the most important characteristics of a leader.

Gen Z also prioritizes integrity (non-corrupt) in a leader (78%), followed by political experience (73%).

Furthermore, a leader's background (73%) and religion (43%) are also considered important factors by Gen Z. Popularity, however, ranked lower, with only 33% considering it important.

The survey also identified the most recognizable political figures among Gen Z. President Joko Widodo ranked first with 18%, followed by Prabowo Subianto (17%) and Ganjar Pranowo (12%).

IDN Research Institute defines Gen Z as individuals aged 15-24 in 2022.

The survey involved 1,000 respondents from 12 cities across various regions in Indonesia, using a random sampling method.

Data collection was conducted from January 27 to March 27, 2022, using face-to-face interviews. The survey has a margin of error of less than 5%.
