2023 Data: Unemployment in Rembang Regency is 2.6%

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reports that the open unemployment rate (OUR) in Rembang Regency reached 2.6% in 2023. This figure increased by 0.84% compared to December 2022, which was recorded at 1.76%. However, compared to December 2021, it decreased by 1.07%.

Over the past ten years, the open unemployment rate (OUR) has shown a downward trend. Following the Covid-19 pandemic since 2020, the open unemployment rate (OUR) in Rembang Regency decreased.

Compared to other regencies/cities, the open unemployment rate (OUR) in this regency/city ranks 326th nationally. The national average open unemployment rate (OUR) in 2023 was 4.6%.

The increase in the open unemployment rate (OUR) is related to the number of workers in the region. The number of workers in Rembang Regency has shown an upward trend over the past 16 years. In 2021, the number of workers was recorded at 362,020, increasing to 380,170 in 2023.
