2024 UMP Bali: Largest in Nusa Tenggara Islands

All provincial governments in the Nusa Tenggara Islands have set the 2024 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP).

Bali has the highest UMP in the Nusa Tenggara Islands, while East Nusa Tenggara has the lowest.

Here is a complete list of the 2024 UMP in the three provinces of the Nusa Tenggara Islands:

1. Bali

The Bali Provincial Government has set the 2024 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) at Rp2,813,672. This figure is an increase of Rp100,000 or 3.68% from this year's UMP.

Head of the Bali Manpower and ESDM Agency, Ida Bagus Setiawan, said this determination was based on joint calculations with the wage council using the new Manpower Ministry formula stipulated in Government Regulation (PP) Number 51 of 2023.

The decision on the Bali 2024 UMP has also been agreed upon by the Wage Council, consisting of representatives from business associations, labor unions, academics, experts, and government agencies.

"We have agreed to set the UMP, the minutes of the meeting have been reported to the Acting Governor of Bali and the Governor's Decree Number 979/03-M/HK/2023 concerning the Bali UMP 2024 has been issued," said Setiawan, as reported by *Antara*, Monday (20/11/2023).

2. West Nusa Tenggara (NTB)

The NTB Provincial Government has set the 2024 UMP at Rp2,444,067. This amount is a 3.06% increase, or Rp72,660, from the 2023 UMP of Rp2,371,407.

Head of the NTB Manpower and Transmigration Agency (Disnakertrans), I Gede Putu Aryadi, said that the UMP determination is based on the Decree of the Acting Governor of NTB, Lalu Gita Ariadi, Number 561-721 of 2023 concerning the NTB UMP for 2024, signed on November 21, 2023.

"This NTB Governor's Decree will come into effect on January 1, 2024," said Aryadi, as reported by *Antara*, Wednesday (22/11/2023).

He explained that the amount of this UMP is in accordance with the recommendation of the NTB Wage Council to the Governor. The UMP increase was decided at a Wage Council meeting to determine the proposed 2024 UMP.

3. East Nusa Tenggara (NTT)

The East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government announced the 2024 UMP at Rp2,186,826. This figure is a 2.96% increase from the 2023 UMP of Rp2,123,994.

"The determination of the 2024 NTT UMP is in accordance with the circular letter from the Indonesian Minister of Manpower Number B-M/243/HI.01.00/11/2023 dated November 15, 2023, concerning the dissemination of information on the procedure for determining the 2024 UMP and economic and employment conditions for the 2024 UMP," said Assistant I of the East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Secretariat, Erni Usboko, as reported by *Antara*, Wednesday (22/11/2023).

According to Erni Usboko, the figure is in accordance with the UMP calculation formula based on PP Number 51 of 2023. She said that the increase in the 2024 NTT UMP was stipulated in the Decree of the Acting Governor of NTT Number 355/HK/Kep/HK/2023 dated November 20, 2023.

"The NTT government hopes that this UMP increase can be used at least for the needs of the workers," said Erni Usboko. She said the government hopes that businesses will have a structure in providing wages to their workers after the implementation of the 2024 UMP.
