2023 Data: Unemployment in North Padang Lawas Regency is 4.42%

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) released data showing that the open unemployment rate (OUR) in North Padang Lawas Regency reached 4.42% in 2023. This figure increased by 0.11% compared to December 2022, which was recorded at 4.31%. Compared to December 2021, the figure increased by 1.23%.

Since 2018, the open unemployment rate (OUR) in North Padang Lawas Regency has shown an upward trend in terms of numbers. The four years following the Covid-19 pandemic, which began in March 2020, also contributed to the rise in the open unemployment rate (OUR) in North Padang Lawas Regency.

Compared to other regencies/cities, the open unemployment rate (OUR) in this regency/city ranks 224th nationally. The national average open unemployment rate (OUR) in 2023 was 4.3%.

The increase in the open unemployment rate (OUR) is inseparable from the data on the number of the workforce in this region.
