Indonesia, One of The Largest Global Robusta Coffee Producers 2024/2025

According to data from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the global production volume of robusta coffee for the 2025/2026 harvest season reached 75.11 million 60-kilogram (kg) bags. This type of coffee accounts for 47% of total global coffee production.

Indonesia is recorded as the third-largest producer in the top 10 list, with a production of 9.3 million 60-kg bags.

The USDA predicts that Indonesia's robusta coffee production will increase by 1.7 million 60-kg bags, reaching 11 million 60-kg bags during the 2025/2025 harvest season.

"This increase is driven by improved productivity thanks to supportive weather conditions and increased labor utilization during the harvest period," the USDA wrote in its report on Thursday (12/18/2025).

Meanwhile, Vietnam is the country with the highest robusta coffee production in the world, with a volume reaching 28 million 60-kg bags.

Below is a list of the top 10 countries with the highest global robusta coffee production volume for the 2024/2025 season:

1. Vietnam: 28 million 60-kg bags

2. Brazil: 21 million bags

3. Indonesia: 9.3 million bags

4. Uganda: 5.67 million bags

5. India: 4.8 million bags

6. Malaysia: 1.4 million bags

7. Thailand: 900 thousand bags

8. Ivory Coast: 650 thousand bags

9. Tanzania: 650 thousand bags

10. Laos: 430 thousand bags

As a note, this USDA data refers to different harvest and marketing years in each country. For example, in Indonesia, the 2024/2025 coffee harvest season refers to the 12-month period from April 2024 to March 2025.

This differs from Brazil and Tanzania, where the coffee harvest season refers to July 2024 to June 2025.

Meanwhile, Vietnam, Uganda, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Ivory Coast, and Laos have their robusta coffee harvest season from October 2024 to September 2025.
