A wave of layoffs in the global technology industry is happening again.

According to RationalFX's data analysis, from January 2026 to February 12, 2026, there were 30,700 tech company workers laid off.

Broken down by company, the largest number was at Amazon, with 16,000 workers. RationalFX noted that this is the largest layoff wave ever conducted by the e-commerce giant.
