The Ministry of Manpower's data shows that 70,244 workers in Indonesia were affected by layoffs (PHK) from January to October 2025.
The majority of these layoffs were recorded in the Java Island region, namely West Java, Central Java, Banten, DKI Jakarta, and East Java.
Combined, the number of layoff victims in these five provinces reached 45,356 people during the same period. This figure accounts for 65% of the total national layoff victims.
Below is a breakdown of the number of employees affected by layoffs per province from January to October 2025, sorted from most to least:

It should be noted that this data may not represent the entire scope of layoffs in Indonesia, as the Ministry of Manpower only records the number of layoff victims reported through the Manpower Information and Service Application System and/or industrial relations courts.
