A Katadata Insight Center (KIC) poll shows that 700 Indonesian young people, or 69.7% of respondents, expressed support for their preferred political party, presidential candidate (capres), and vice-presidential candidate (cawapres).
This support was channeled through various means, including social media such as Instagram or Facebook (31%), word of mouth (26.3%), and face-to-face interactions and the use of party paraphernalia (12.4%).
However, the KIC survey also found that 44.2% of young people did not express any political support at all. The remaining 0.5% of respondents chose other expression options.

This KIC survey was conducted from October 11-17, 2023, with 1,005 respondents proportionally distributed across Indonesia's 34 provinces.
All respondents were young people, namely Gen Z aged 17-26 years (50.4%) and Millennials aged 27-42 years (49.6%), who possess mobile phone numbers.
