Indonesia's Daily Food Prices: Beef, Chili, and Salt Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (18/10/2024) at 09.05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are farmer-level corn, garlic bulbs, chicken eggs, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, red chilies, skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,930 (5.18%) to Rp39,160 per kg. Red chili peppers saw the sharpest price decrease of Rp1,430 (3.12%) to Rp44,460 per kg.

8. Red Chilies: Rp30,190 per kg (down 2.3%)
9. Red Onions: Rp28,900 per kg (down 0.76%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,830 per kg (up 1.02%)
