Jokowi Grants Performance Bonuses to KPK Employees Up to Rp33.2 Million

President Joko Widodo has granted performance allowances (tukin) to employees within the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

This allowance is regulated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 50 of 2023 concerning Performance Allowances for Employees within the Corruption Eradication Commission, signed on August 14, 2023.

"Employees within the KPK, in addition to receiving income in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws and regulations, are given a performance allowance every month," reads Article 2 Paragraph 1 of the Presidential Regulation.

Furthermore, Paragraph 2 of the same article states that the performance allowance is given after considering the assessment of bureaucratic reform, organizational performance achievements, and individual performance achievements.

This performance allowance is not given to KPK employees who do not hold a specific position, are temporarily suspended or deactivated, and are dismissed from their organic position with severance pay and have not yet been dismissed as an employee.

In addition, the performance allowance is also not given to employees who are on leave without government support or are on leave of absence for retirement preparation.

The provision of performance allowances to KPK employees is differentiated based on their job class. There are at least 17 job classes within the KPK.

The lowest performance allowance is for job class 1, amounting to Rp 2.5 million per month. The highest is for job class 17, receiving a performance allowance of Rp 33.2 million.

The following are the amounts of performance allowances for KPK employees based on job class as stipulated in Presidential Regulation Number 50 of 2023:
