Food Prices Monday (8/9) in West Sumatra: Salt, Egg, and Beef Prices Decrease

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (8/9/2025) at 12:11 PM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 8 increased and 15 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include broiler chicken meat, corn at farmer level, skipjack tuna, packaged cooking oil, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour, large red chili, dried soybean seeds (imported), broiler eggs, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Milkfish prices soared highest by Rp5,000 (12.5%) to Rp45,000 per kg. Meanwhile, bulk wheat flour prices dropped most sharply by Rp247 (2.66%) to Rp9,030 per kg.
