Today's Food Prices (25/2) in South Sumatra: Garlic and Bird's Eye Chili Prices Drop

Today, the prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (February 25, 2026) at 17:13 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

The commodities that increased in price were premium packaged palm cooking oil and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as wheat flour, broiler chicken meat, red bird's eye chili, Honan garlic, and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Premium packaged palm cooking oil had the highest price increase of Rp19 (0.1%) to Rp19,584 per liter. Meanwhile, curly red chili had the deepest price decrease of Rp1,917 (4.34%) to Rp42,208 per kg.

Below is the complete list of prices for 16 food commodities in South Sumatra according to SP2KP Kemendag on February 25, 2026 at 17:13 WIB.

2. Red Bird's Eye Chili: Rp56,878 per kg (down 3.07%)
3. Curly Red Chili: Rp42,208 per kg (down 4.34%)
4. Large Red Chili: Rp38,222 per kg (down 3.32%)
5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp37,265 per kg (down 1.35%)
6. Shallots: Rp36,490 per kg (down 0.22%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp34,271 per kg (down 0.3%)
8. Broiler Eggs: Rp28,892 per kg (unchanged)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp19,584 per liter (up 0.1%)
10. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,176 per kg (unchanged)
11. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp16,825 per liter (unchanged)
12. Minyakita: Rp15,718 per liter (unchanged)
