Household Equipment, Utensil, and Routine Maintenance Costs in South Central Timor Regency Increased by 0.29% in December.

The prices of components contributing to inflation of goods and services for routine household maintenance in Timor Tengah Selatan Regency in December reached 0.29%. This figure is higher than the previous month, which was recorded at -0.27%. Among the five inflation groups measured in this region, the group of equipment, tools, and routine household maintenance contributed 0.25% to regional inflation.

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that the consumer price index (CPI) for equipment, tools, and routine household maintenance in Timor Tengah Selatan Regency was at 100.95 in December 2024, higher than the previous month's 100.66.

This regency/city is a new area that became the basis for the 2024 CPI calculation. Previously, referring to the 2018 CPI, BPS only calculated 90 regencies/cities. Starting in 2024, referring to the use of the 2022 base year, the CPI is calculated based on the consumption patterns from the Cost of Living Survey (SBH) in 150 regencies/cities in 2022 (2022=100).

Historically, inflation data for this region has only been available since the beginning of 2024. Compared to the beginning of the year, prices of components contributing to inflation in Timor Tengah Selatan Regency have grown by 0.59% (year to date/ytd).

Based on the BPS survey data for December 2024, these 11 inflation groups are ranked third compared to other subgroups.
