East Java Food Prices Wednesday (23/10): Salt Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (23/10/2024) at 11:05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, farmer-level corn, granulated sugar, garlic cloves, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, mackerel, SPHP rice, milkfish, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp370 (6.86%) to Rp5,760 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp1,720 (9.2%) to Rp16,970 per kg.
