In June, the prices of household equipment components contributing to inflation in Indonesia reached 0.04%. This figure is higher than the previous month's 0.01%. Among the 11 inflation groups measured in this region, the group of household equipment, tools, and routine maintenance contributed 0.21% to inflation in Indonesia.
The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that the consumer price index (CPI) for household equipment, tools, and routine maintenance in Indonesia was at 102.3 in June 2024, higher than the previous month's 102.26.
Compared to the same month last year, inflation for household equipment, tools, and routine maintenance has fallen by 8.1% (year-on-year/YoY). Compared to the beginning of the year, prices of components contributing to inflation in Indonesia have grown by 0.26% (year-to-date/YTD).
This inflation sub-group experienced the second-highest increase compared to other contributing inflation sub-groups.
The following is the inflation of household equipment, tools, and routine maintenance sub-groups measured by BPS for June in Indonesia:
* Routine household maintenance goods and services: 0.31%
* Household equipment: 0.04%
* Furniture, equipment, and carpets: -0.02%
* Glassware and tableware: 0.16%
* Household equipment, tools, and routine maintenance: 0.21%
* Household textiles: 0.06%
* Housing and garden equipment and supplies: 0.16%
Compared to 91 other regencies/cities, the highest inflation for household equipment, tools, and routine maintenance occurred in Pangkal Pinang City at 0.03% with a CPI of 99.69, and the lowest occurred in Metro City at 1.29% with a CPI of 104.03. Indonesia ranked 57th.
As announced by BPS earlier this month, inflation in June 2024 reached 0.12% monthly and -23.07% annually. Although lower than the previous month's inflation, this monthly inflation rate is not as high as the same period last year, which was recorded at 3.28%.
