Friday's (November 22nd) Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Onions Up, Chilies Down

The price of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday, November 22nd, 2024, at 10:13 WIB (Western Indonesian Time), out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased in price and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, premium rice, Indian mackerel, pure beef, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Indian mackerel experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,160 (3.09%) to Rp38,640 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies decreased the most sharply by Rp1,070 (7.02%) to Rp14,170 per kg.
