Today's Food Prices, December 16, in Indonesia: Red Chili and Beef Prices Fall

Today, the prices of several food items in Indonesia are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (16/12/2025) at 14:19 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases were broiler eggs and red bird's eye chilies.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as beef hindquarter, large red chilies, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chilies saw the highest increase of Rp700 (0.93%) to Rp76,200 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chilies experienced the sharpest decrease of Rp700 (1.18%) to Rp58,800 per kg.

5. Shallots: Rp51,500 per kg (stable)
6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp41,800 per kg (stable)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp38,500 per kg (stable)
8. Broiler Eggs: Rp33,800 per kg (up 0.6%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp22,300 per liter (stable)
10. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp18,200 per kg (stable)
11. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,000 per liter (stable)
12. Minyakita: Rp16,800 per liter (stable)
13. Premium Rice: Rp16,300 per kg (stable)
