Today's Food Prices (20/3) in East Java: Beef and Egg Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in East Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (March 20, 2026) at 18:05 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 11 increased and 2 decreased.

Commodities that experienced price increases include bulk granulated sugar, premium rice, medium rice, shallots, and broiler chicken meat.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as red cayenne pepper and Honan garlic decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili prices jumped the most by Rp521 (1.46%) to Rp36,250 per kg. Meanwhile, red cayenne pepper prices dropped the most by Rp105 (0.13%) to Rp83,110 per kg.

2. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp83,110 per kg (down 0.13%)
3. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp41,149 per kg (up 0.92%)
4. Large Red Chili: Rp39,057 per kg (up 1.25%)
5. Curly Red Chili: Rp36,250 per kg (up 1.46%)
6. Shallots: Rp35,978 per kg (up 0.09%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp30,367 per kg (down 0.06%)
8. Broiler Eggs: Rp29,618 per kg (up 0.16%)
9. Premium Packed Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,318 per liter (up 0.13%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,560 per liter (up 0.02%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp16,833 per kg (up 0.18%)
12. Minyakita: Rp15,707 per liter (unchanged)
13. Premium Rice: Rp14,666 per kg (up 0.01%)
