Prices of Large Red Chilies in Traditional Markets, May 2024-2025

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 2:44 PM WIB, the daily price of large red chilies in traditional markets in West Java Province has decreased by Rp 13,800 compared to the previous day, reaching Rp 53,300.

Compared to the price over the past month, the daily price of large red chilies in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp 58,350.

Meanwhile, the daily price of large red chilies in traditional markets in West Java over the past three months has increased by 49.51% from the previously recorded price of Rp 35,650.

The record high for the daily price of large red chilies in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in June 2018 with an increase of 53.99%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in June 2019 with a decrease of -43.15%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in West Java show seven commodities decreased and 19 others increased. The sembako with decreased prices are Daily Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Large Red Chilies in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Red Chilies in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Fresh Layer Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Chicken Meat in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Fresh Chicken Meat in Traditional Markets by Province, and Daily Green Bird's Eye Chilies in Traditional Markets by Province.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price developments over the past month in West Java Province:

2. Curly Red Chilies per Kg, daily in Traditional Markets by Province: Rp 59,650 (up 5.48%)
3. Chicken Eggs per Kg, daily in Traditional Markets by Province: Rp 27,350 (down 8.83%)
4. Medium-sized Shallots per Kg: Rp 55,500 (up 50.2%)
5. Large Red Chilies per Kg, daily in Traditional Markets by Province: Rp 53,300 (down 8.65%)
6. Shallots per Kg, daily in Traditional Markets by Province: Rp 55,500 (up 50.2%)
7. Red Chilies per Kg, daily in Traditional Markets by Province: Rp 56,500 (down 1.65%)
8. Medium-sized Garlic per Kg: Rp 48,750 (up 7.85%)
