Current Food Prices in East Java: Chili Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (September 3, 2025) at 08:41 AM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include dried soybean seeds (imported), corn at farmer level, red cayenne pepper, premium rice, and broiler eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, skipjack tuna, packaged cooking oil, curly red chili, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Corn at the farmer level saw the highest surge, Rp918 (15.28%) to Rp6,925 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of packaged wheat flour saw the deepest drop of Rp661 (5.7%) to Rp10,944 per kg.

7. Garlic Bulb: Rp30,083 per kg (up 0.83%)
8. Curly Red Chili: Rp28,000 per kg (down 2.12%)
9. Large Red Chili: Rp27,222 per kg (down 0.29%)
10. Broiler Eggs: Rp26,778 per kg (up 2.55%)
11. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp24,778 per kg (up 5.25%)
