Latest Food Prices in Banten: Bird's Eye Chili Rises, Chicken Meat Falls

Prices of several food commodities in Banten today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Citing food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Tuesday (August 12, 2025) at 11:56 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include pure beef, frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad), consumption salt, curly red chili, and packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as medium rice, bulk cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, garlic bulb, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of red bird's eye chili surged the highest by Rp1,288 (3.17%) to Rp41,938 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level dropped the deepest by Rp1,375 (17.46%) to Rp6,500 per kg.
