Latest Food Prices in D.I. Yogyakarta Region: Chili Peppers Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food ingredients in D.I. Yogyakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (September 17, 2025) at 12:12 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include curly red chili, broiler eggs, red bird''s eye chili, corn at the farmer level, and consumption sugar.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as pure beef, skipjack tuna, red onions, premium rice, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Red bird''s eye chili saw the highest increase of Rp2,080 (6.14%) to Rp35,944 per kg. Meanwhile, red onion prices experienced the sharpest drop of Rp824 (2.43%) to Rp33,056 per kg.
