Today's Food Prices February 05 in South Sumatra: Prices of Red Chili, Cooking Oil and Chicken Meat Drop

Several food commodity prices in South Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (February 5, 2026) at 17:13 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 5 decreased.

The commodities that experienced price increases were broiler chicken eggs and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as Minyakita, shallots, broiler chicken meat, Honan garlic, and large red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili prices jumped the highest by Rp2,639 (6.69%) to Rp42,083 per kg. Meanwhile, shallot prices dropped the steepest by Rp1,167 (2.92%) to Rp38,833 per kg.

6. Honan Garlic: Rp36,000 per kg (down 1.82%)
7. Large Red Chili: Rp35,917 per kg (down 2.56%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,500 per kg (up 0.61%)
