Today's Food Prices in Indonesia March 04: Oil, Rice and Chicken Meat Prices Drop

Several food commodity prices in Indonesia were observed to drop today compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (March 4, 2026) at 14:23 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that saw price increases include bulk granulated sugar, bulk palm cooking oil, wheat flour, red cayenne pepper, and broiler chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as premium rice, Minyakita, curly red chili, medium rice, and broiler chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Big red chili commodity jumped the highest by Rp1,465 (3.67%) to Rp41,368 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili price dropped the steepest by Rp290 (0.75%) to Rp38,287 per kg.

4. Shallots: Rp40,207 per kg (down 0.49%)
5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp40,192 per kg (down 0.14%)
6. Curly Red Chili: Rp38,287 per kg (down 0.75%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp36,453 per kg (down 0.06%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp30,996 per kg (up 0.07%)
9. Packaged Premium Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,078 per liter (down 0.09%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,202 per liter (up 0.07%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,875 per kg (up 0.08%)
12. Minyakita: Rp15,907 per liter (down 0.04%)
