Latest Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (12/6/2024) at 13.09 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, red chilies, bulk cooking oil, premium rice, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, broiler chicken, medium rice, Indian mackerel, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level saw the highest increase, jumping Rp670 (15.58%) to Rp4,970 per kg. The price of iodized fine salt saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp300 (2.51%) to Rp11,630 per kg.
